Induction Hardened Chrome Plated Steel Bars
Hardening primarily protects surfaces from mechanical impacts, like those in mining or rock drilling, hit by debris. It suits hydraulic seals, not high, constant pressures like ball bushings. 20MnV6 steel offers better weldability and mechanical strength, resisting impact at low temperatures (-20°C). 42CrMo4+QT steel, with high hardenability and toughness, is ideal for oil, gas, and automotive sectors. 38MnVS6 excels in machinability and weldability, widely used in civil, mechanical, and chemical engineering.

The corrosion resistance of CROMEST hydraulic components varies based on the intended environment. Standard CROMEST items, as detailed in our brochure, feature a single chrome layer. However, for heightened corrosion resistance in harsher environments, opt for CROMEST HR. Available in all CROMEST grades, CROMEST HR boasts double chrome layers, significantly enhancing corrosion resistance. This dual-layer design minimizes the chance of environmental elements compromising the steel underneath. CROMEST HR assures an NSS 400 h rating 9, ensuring robust protection.
